David is a Senior Policy Advisor at the ANU's National Security College, where he conducts research on a range of topics pertinent to Australia's national security, including multilateral security institutions, maritime security, and Indo-Pacific geopolitics. Previously he spent over five years working in the Department of Defence as a Strategic Policy Officer, and is also undertaking a PhD in international relations part-time at La Trobe University.
