My 23-year career has traversed industry (investment management, consulting, pension fund design), teaching (Macquarie Applied Finance Centre), educative media (co-founder of free financial newsletter Cuffelinks, now Firstlinks) and academia (most recently completion of my PhD at UNSW to complement my Master of Applied Finance at Macquarie University and Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Newcastle). I am now the executive director of The Conexus Institute, a not-for-profit research institute focused on improving retirement outcomes for Australians. My research interests include investment and ageing, and how they can be better accounted for in products, policy and regulation.
