My primary research interest is in sociological aspects of consumer behavior, particularly the consequences of social inequality. I investigate the creation, manifestation, and resolution of class and racial inequality in the marketplace, and explore public policy initiatives designed to alleviate inequality.
My research has appeared in the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Consumer Culture, the Journal of Research for Consumers, the American Marketing Science Review, the Journal of Macromarketing, and Preventive Medicine.
