David Hewitt

David is a doctoral researcher at the University of Leeds, School of Languages, Cultures and Societies. His research focuses on the place of sport within the post-1898 'regenerationist' movement in Spain and in the educational reforms of the Second Republic.

Outside of academia, David is a freelance writer and editor. He has worked for Save the Children, the United Nations and The Gorilla Organization and his work has been published in newspapers and magazines globally.
