Dr David J Hawes (Co-director of the Child Behaviour Research Clinic at the Brain & Mind Centre, University of Sydney), is a Clinical Psychologist and researcher whose work focuses on the behavioural and emotional problems of childhood. His research examines the critical role of parenting in child mental health, and innovations in approaches to early intervention. He is involved extensively in the training of clinical psychologists in Australia and internationally, is a consulting editor of the Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, and Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology.
