David Menefee-Libey

Professor of Politics, Coordinator of Program in Public Policy Analysis, Pomona College

Professor at Pomona College since 1989.

I have published research mostly in two areas: from 1985-2005 on US campaigns and elections, including a book The Triumph of Campaign Centered Politics (CQ Press, 1999). Since 1994 on politics and policy in elementary and secondary education, and especially the politics of school reform, including a co-authored book Learning from LA (Harvard Education Press 2008). My recent work is on civic education.

In Pomona College, I'm currently Coordinator of the Program in Public Policy Analysis. Formerly Chair of Politics Department, formerly Chair of the Social Science Division, and formerly Chair of the Faculty Executive. I've won the college's teaching prize five times.
