David Shirley

Professor David Shirley is the Executive Dean of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), at Edith Cowan University (ECU). Originally from the UK, David trained as an actor at the Arts Educational Schools and studied at RADA. He has worked extensively as an actor in theatre, TV and radio. Previously, the Director of the School of the Manchester School of Theatre at MMU, David has also worked as an acting teacher at Rose Bruford College, in Kent. He has written various journal articles and book chapters on Stanislavski, Samuel Beckett and Postdramatic Theatre.
