Associate Professor in Marine Biology, University of Technology Sydney

I'm a marine biologist with research interests in photophysiology, and productivity of aquatic primary producers, ranging from microalgae to corals. Prior to joining UTS as an ARC Future Fellow I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and then lecturer in Marine Biogeochemistry, at the University of Essex, UK.

At UTS I am a core member of The Plant Functional Biology and Climate Change Cluster (C3) where my research will focus on improving marine primary productivity estimates using advanced Fast Repetition Rate Fluorometry. The outcomes from this research will provide more accurate information on the health of Australian coastal waters and be used to improve Global Climate Models.

I am also the leader for the C3 Coral Research Group
