Diane Elson

Diane came to Essex in 2000 from a Chair in Development Studies at Manchester University, via two years in New York working for the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM).

Her current research and teaching interests are in global social change and the realisation of human rights with a particular focus on gender inequality and economic and social rights. She is a member of the Human Rights Centre.
