Dimitria Groutsis

Associate professor, University of Sydney

Dr Dimitria Groutsis is an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Work and Organisational Studies at the University of Sydney Business School.

Dimitria is a leading scholar in the field of migration, labour mobility and cultural diversity in the business context. Her work has appeared in leading national and international peer review journals, book chapters and she has co-edited and co-authored several books. Her consulting role sees her working with the Diversity Council Australia, the Australian Human Rights Commission, the Australian Institute of Company Directors, large corporate sector partners and key stakeholders in the government and non-government sectors.

Dr Groutsis is on the research advisory board of the Diversity Council of Australia (DCA) and has also worked closely with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) on preserving a large migration archive. In addition to serving on various journals as Associate Editor she serves as the co-Chair of the Gender, Diversity and Indigeneity stream for the Australia and NZ Academy of Management.

Dimitria is the Convenor of the Migrants@Work Research Group at the University of Sydney Business School.

Established in 2011, the Research Group provides an important platform for researchers and policymakers to present, discuss and debate research on migration and diversity management in the business context, bringing together a broad audience including: academics, the business community, and representatives from government.
