Dinko Hanaan Dinko

Ph.D. Student, University of Denver

Dinko is a Doctoral student at the Department of Geography, University of Denver in Colorado. His research interest lies in the geopolitics of China's engagements with Africa and its implications on the Great Power Competition.

Prior to joining the University of Denver, Dinko was a Principal Research Assistant at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research, University of Ghana. He was also an Africa Regional International Staff/Student Exchange (ARISE) research scholar from the University of Ghana interning at the University of Rwanda. At the University of Rwanda, he investigated the dynamics and lived experiences of urban water insecurity among the residents of Kigali.

Dinko had his graduate training at the University of Ghana (MPhil) and the University of Oslo where he studied International Development. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana.
