Postdoctoral researcher, marine ecology, University of Adelaide

I am a marine biologist specialising in oyster ecology. The past five years I have been investigating the capacity of oyster habitat to protect coastal biodiversity from the extremities of climate change, conducting my research along the east coast of Australia and in Hong Kong. At The University of Adelaide my research aims to enhance South Australia's blue infrastructure through the restoration of oyster reefs which were once abundant on Australia's southern coastline. This project is a collaboration with the South Australian Government and The Nature Conservancy, who collectively will construct a 20 hectare oyster reef. My research aims to enhance the recruitment and survivorship of oysters to the reef, ensuring it's long-term growth and performance.
I am also part of the communications team and research and development working group for Australia's Shellfish Reef Restoration Network.
