My interests are in measuring pollutants in the environment with mass spectrometry and other detection methods. I started off by measuring pharmaceutical residues in surface waters. During my PhD I was measuring ozone-depleting and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. During my postdoc now, the focus lies on measuring hydrogen in the atmosphere.
Throughout these studies, the aim was - and is - to use the measurement data to assess the emissions of pollutants to the environment and to understand the emission sources. This will help to keep our environment intact and livable.
