Assistant Professor of Strategy and Innovation, Boston University

I study entrepreneurship and business strategy in uncertain and ambiguous settings like new industries and crisis response. My primary interests are in how individuals perceive opportunities, formulate effective strategies, and build organizations to capture them, as well as how this shapes the development and diffusion of new technologies and practices. My research relies on both mathematical modeling and inductive field work, with research sites such as residential solar, digital health, social media, and pandemic response. This work has been published in outlets such as Strategic Management Journal, Strategy Science, and the Harvard Business Review.
