Dr. Julian Waters-Lynch

Industry Fellow Innovation and Enterprise, RMIT University

I research new ways of working and organising and translate these insights into practices that others can learn from.

As a researcher, I am interested in emerging forms of organising and their relationship to existing organisational and social theory. Over recent years I have written about coworking, freelancers, entrepreneurs and the changing world of creative knowledge work. My current research interests focus on blockchain enabled forms of decentralised organisation and governance.

As a practitioner, I bring this work to life by designing services, facilitating workshops with teams and coaching individuals to uncover more desirable, responsive and meaningful work practices.

I am fascinated by people's experiences of work and organisational life and the frequent gap between current realities and desired futures.

My interest is in helping close this gap, so that more people experience work that they love in organisations that thrive.
