Dr Meysam Tayebipour

PhD in Politics, Lancaster University

By applying Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), my thesis endeavours to explore the role of religion in Iran’s post-revolutionary foreign policy. The use of CDA as a theoretical framework in the study of foreign policy is new. In fact, except for some limited studies which mainly focus on the foreign policy of Europe, there is not much scholarship that has used CDA as a theoretical framework. Therefore, my thesis can be a starting point for the use of CDA in the study of politics of the Middle East and Iran.
