Ed's current research interests include:

. native title rights and interests, statutory land rights regimes and conventional land tenure systems;

. land use planning and the accommodation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples rights, interests, needs, values and aspirations;

. land use planning and emergency planning and managent, especially in remote Indigenous communities;

. Canberra's unique planning history and land tenure system;

. local government restructurung and reform.
