Dr. Edmond S. Chan is a Pediatric Allergist, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia, and Head of the Division of Allergy & Immunology at BC Children’s Hospital, where he leads a food allergy research program. He has authored many peer-reviewed publications on food allergy, and is a co-author of several guidelines on the topics of food allergy or eosinophilic esophagitis including: NIAID peanut allergy prevention guidelines, CPS/CSACI position statement on allergy prevention in infants, AGA/Joint Task Force eosinophilic esophagitis guidelines, and CSACI oral immunotherapy guidelines. He is on the Board of directors of the Canadian Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology (CSACI), and the Executive of the Allergy Section of the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS). He is a member of the scientific advisory board for Food Allergy Canada and steering committee for Canada’s National Food Allergy Action Plan.
