Eduardo de la Fuente

Eduardo's work sits at the intersection of social theory, cultural and economic sociology, place and space, and studies in everyday life. He recently co-edited with Ariella Van Luyn the Routledge collection Regional Cultures, Economies and Creativity: Innovating through Place in Australia and Beyond. He has also recently published articles on understanding social life through textures rather than texts; and has applied this framework to a variety of topics including landscape, architecture, cities and regions, sensory and aesthetic atmospheres, and the role of place-qualities in shaping culture, economy and creativity. Before joining UniSA as Adjunct Senior Lecturer, Eduardo was Senior Lecturer in Creativity and Innovation at James Cook University were he taught in the Creative Media and MBA programs, and prior to that he taught in the social theory, sociology, communication and media studies programs at Flinders, Monash, Macquarie universities and the University of Tasmania. He is a Fellow of the Institute for Place Management (IPM) and subscribes to the IPM ethos of striving to "make places better".
