Edward Cartwright

Professor of Economics, De Montfort University

Edward Cartwright is Professor of Economics at De Montfort University and Director of the Institute for Applied Economics and Social Value. His earlier research was in formal game theory exploring how social norms and conformity can be modeled using game theoretic concepts. Subsequently he branched out into experimental and behavioural economics with work on pro-social behaviour, public goods, leadership, honesty, and labour market discrimination. He is author of a popular textbook on Behavioral Economics, currently in its 3rd edition. More recently Professor Cartwright has become involved in various projects around cyber-security exploring the economic and psychological factors in cyber-crime.
