Assistant Research Professor of Health, Intervention, and Policy, University of Connecticut

The areas of research I am interested in include:

1. Improving understanding and prevention of various forms of elder mistreatment (e.g. neglect of healthcare, abuse, financial exploitation, theft of opioid pain medications) in long-term care homes such as nursing homes and assisted living residences.

2. Distressing and harmful resident-to-resident incidents in long-term care homes.

3. Psychosocial strategies for prevention of distressing and harmful behavioral expressions among elders living with dementia in long-term care homes and the community.

I currently work as a researcher at the Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy (InCHIP), at University of Connecticut.
