Post-doctoral researcher, RMIT University

Since November 2015 I have been working as a post-doctoral research fellow for the Young and Well Connected and Creative research stream. Our projects focus on young people suffering from mental health difficulty or at risk of developing such problems due to experience of social isolation or lack of access to resources. We focus our research on contemporary young people's experiences of well-being and belonging, particularly in terms of how vulnerable young people use technology to foster socially inclusive communities. Before starting my position at RMIT, I have been working at Melbourne University for 5 years. Starting as a tutor in Anthropology and Youth Studies, I have been lecturing the subjects Youth and Popular Culture (Youth Research Centre) and Qualitative Methods (Centre for Program Evaluation) in the last 2 years. Additionally, I have been working as a casual researcher at the Centre for Program Evaluation for the last 2 years.
