Senior Research Associate, School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia

Dr Emilie Vrain is a Senior Research Associate in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia. As a social scientist, her research uses both quantitative and qualitative methods, analysing factors which influence behaviours. Her current work explores the role of social networks, communication behaviour and information sources for the diffusion of low carbon innovations.

She is also currently an invited researcher at LISST (Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Solidarités, Sociétés, Territoires) in Toulouse, France and is working with research teams in both the UK and France studying the impact of Lockdown on social relationships.

She has particular interest and specialism in knowledge exchange, translating science for policy development and has most recently developed skills in social network analysis and designing complex online surveys.
