Emma Hughes

I have a background in Development Studies and completed my Master’s degree at the University of Manchester and PhD at Massey University. My thesis examined the capability of development initiatives led by international hotels to bring about positive, locally meaningful change for two Indigenous communities in Fiji. Research topics since then have focussed around the localisation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Pacific.
I am currently a Research Development Advisor at Massey University.
