Enrico Nichelatti

PhD candidate, University of Helsinki

I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Helsinki in the faculty of Social Sciences. My research interest focuses on universal basic income in sub-Saharan African countries. I mainly apply quantitative and microsimulation techniques to analyse the UBI's impact at the micro and macro levels. On the one hand, I examine its effects on poverty and inequality. On the other hand, I investigate its implications in tax revenue and financial costs. I am also working as a research assistant at United Nations University UNU-WIDER in the SOUTHMOD project.
