Dr. Erdem Dikici has recently completed his PhD in Sociology at University of Bristol, and he is currently a research affiliate in Centre for Study of Ethnicity and Citizenship, University of Bristol.

Erdem has been working on multiculturalism, integration theories, and transnationalism. Specifically, he is interested in exploring the ways in which transnational Muslim organisations impact Muslim integration into contemporary European societies. Erdem believes that unlike the widespread belief in the West, not all transnational Muslim organisations are bearers of radical/extremist Islam or terrorism; in fact, transnational Muslim organisations are diverse and they must be studied as such. His PhD research focuses on how transnational Islamic networks impact the integration of Muslims in the UK, and Europe writ large.

Erdem's research interests include immigrant integration, multiculturalism, transnationalism and transnational Islam.
