I am a Lecturer in the Discipline of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Canberra. I am passionate about making a difference and am currently pursuing a PhD focused on improving the mental health and well-being of survivors of intimate partner violence through physical activity.
I lead the WEST Project, a transformative community-based maximal strength-training program designed exclusively for individuals who have experienced domestic violence. Established in 2020, the program has become a beacon of hope for survivors, providing invaluable support at various stages of their recovery journey. The WEST Project fosters a safe and inclusive environment where survivors can rebuild their strength, regain their confidence, and find solace in a community of understanding individuals.
