Dr Esme Franken is a Lecturer in Management at Edith Cowan University. Her research uses both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and centers on employee growth and development. She is also particularly interested in public sector workplaces, gendered jobs and careers, and mechanisms for how employees can grow in their organisations. Esme has published her research in the journals such as Australian Journal of Public Administration, Gender, Work and Organization, and the International Journal of Human Resource Management. She is a member of British Academy of Management, and is a board member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management.
