Assistant Professor, Trent School of the Environment, Trent University

I am Assistant Professor of Community Food Systems at the Trent School of the Environment where I host the Towards Equity in Sustainability Transitions (“Test”) Lab. Our group conducts community-based research on the prospects for just transitions in food systems and beyond. Previously I was the Acting Director at the Food and Agriculture Institute at the University of the Fraser Valley. I was trained as a critical and interdisciplinary environmental social scientist at UBC's Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability and the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems, and have a BA(hons) and MA in Sociology from the University of Manitoba where I have taught several undergraduate courses.
