Doctoral Researcher, Monash University

Currently, I am undertaking a scholarship supported interdisciplinary PhD by publication at BehaviourWorks in Monash University’s Sustainable Development Institute. The project is a Graduate Research Industry Partnership Program (GRIPP) with the Department of Transport, Victoria (formerly VicRoads). Drawing on behavioural science and sociology, the research aims to locate impactful psychological and sociological factors contributing to illegal smartphone use while driving and develop targeted countermeasures to mitigate use.

I also research in the fields of social and cultural theory and frequently publish in my main area of interest—body modification, tattoo, identity and alterity.
