Fiona Jenkins

My research has a particular focus on equity issues facing women in academia, and developing a critical perspective on the discourses used to address gender inequity. I am Lead Investigator on an ARC Discovery Project 2015-20, “Gendered Excellence in the Social Sciences”.

As Convenor of the ANU Gender Institute I aim to develop public understanding of gender issues and foster capacity to redress the wide range of disadvantages women continue to suffer. The role includes advocacy for gender equity; fostering gender research collaborations and networks; administering grants; and mentoring of junior colleagues and students.
