Senior Lecturer in Politics, University of Bath

Dr Amery joined the Department in January 2015, having previously taught at the University of Bristol. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Birmingham.

She is also Co-Convener of the PSA Women and Politics Specialist Group.

Dr Amery's research explores the role of ideas in the policy process, with a particular focus on gender and women's movement activism. She is currently working on a project which assesses the role of activists and practitioners in the creation of sexual and reproductive health policy. She has previously conducted research on the parliamentary politics of abortion, human fertilisation and embryology policy, and the status of women in universities.
