Gabriel Cardoso Carrero

Ph.D., Associate research scientist, University of Florida

Geography Ph.D , with a Masters in Ecology. I worked as Program Manager and Director for the Institute for Conservation and Sustainable Development of the Amazon (Idesam) for a decade, with issues related to land-use change, forest monitoring and climate change, forest conservation, and sustainable supply chains. My research encompasses issues of land-use change, development processes, land, forest, and climate change policy. My work draws from scholarships of Ecology, Human Geography, as well as Forestry and Agronomy.
