Gabriel Filippelli

Chancellor's Professor of Earth Sciences and Executive Director, Indiana University Environmental Resilience Institute, Indiana University

My research focuses on biogeochemical cycling in the environment. I have worked extensively on the chemistry and geologic history of nutrients and climate in the ocean and on land. My recent work includes examining the links between climate change and human health, and determining and mitigating the impacts of environmental contaminants such as lead on human health by engaging communities to address environmental injustice.
