Gabrielle Garon-Carrier is a Professor in developmental psychology in the Department of Psychoeducation at the Université de Sherbrooke, Québec (Canada). She holds a PhD in Psychology from the Université Laval and a postdoctoral fellowship in the Departement of Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her work is grounded into longitudinal research and employs an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates psychology, education, sociology, and public health, to inform on the developmental mechanisms of child cognitive and mental health, and academic adjustment life-trajectory. Dr. Garon-Carrier’s research has also advanced knowledge on the impact of social policies and services for families with young children, with a view of reducing early-life inequalities. Since 2020, she is the head of the Early Learning and Social Adjustment Research Lab (LilLab) and holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in school readiness, inclusion and social adjustment.
