Garumma Tolu Feyissa

Dr. Garumma Tolu Feyissa is a postdoctoral research fellow in Dornsife School of Public Health, Drexel University. Dr. Feyissa is passionate about expanding evidence-based policy making in health and social care through evidence-based research and teaching. He holds PhD (2018) in Evidence-based Healthcare from the University of Adelaide.
Dr. Feyissa has worked in various academic and administrative positions in Jimma University in Ethiopia. Dr. Feyissa has diverse research experience ranging from qualitative and quantitative research to systematic reviews, best practice implementation, guideline development, evaluation and contextualization. He has published more than 40 articles in internationally reputable journals.
As an as accredited trainer of the JBI, Garumma has been mentoring and training researchers based in universities and research centers on comprehensive systematic reviews and best practice implementation projects. His current research and project interests include equity and disparity in health, population dynamics, urban health and health policy, and capacity building of African researchers.
