Emeritus Professor, Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health & Society, La Trobe University

I am a sociologist who has spent 40 years working in the fields of education, health, sexuality, gender and related policy areas. The HIV/AIDS pandemic has been the focus of much of my research for 35 years, largely targeted to vulnerable populations, such as gay men and young people, in Australia and internationally. I am a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia.
