Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations, University of Liverpool

Dr Gemma Bird is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Politics at the University of Liverpool and a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Global Cooperation Research at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Previously she worked at Aston University after completing her PhD at the University of Sheffield looking at the foundations of cross-cultural dialogues.

Her research sits at the intersection between political theory and international relations and she has published on migration, citizenship, African political theory, identity, aesthetics and marginalisation.
