Gemma Jacklyn is a lecturer at the Sydney School of Public Health at the University of Sydney. Gemma has a PhD in epidemiology, a Masters of Public Health with honours, and a Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy. Gemma's research involves better understanding the benefits and harms associated with screening mammography for breast cancer. Her main interest is overdiagnosis and overtreatment. Gemma supports informed choice about screening and is affiliated with Wiser Healthcare, a research collaboration for reducing overdiagnosis and overtreatment in medicine.
