Genia is an experienced Haematology teaching and research academic with over 15 years of experience in the higher education sector, who obtained an undergraduate & master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science and completed her PhD in 2018 also with RMIT University, Melbourne. Genia has published several articles in high impact journals in the areas of Haematology. Her interests lie in improved diagnosis and treatment of patients with Malarial disease as well as understanding the novel immune role that red blood cells play in helping to overcome malarial parasitic infections.
