Dr. Gina Dillon is a researcher with the School of Rural Medicine at the University of New England, Armidale.

Gina completed her PhD in early 2015 investigating "The Influence of rurality on intimate partner violence in young Australian women". For her study Gina accessed data from the Australian Longitudinal Study on Womens Health to focus on issues related to differences in metropolitan, regional and rural women and intimate partner violence (IPV). Investigations included the regional aspects of prevalence and type of partner violence; the physical and mental health effects of partner violence; the use of health services by women exposed to IPV; and patterns of domestic relocation and their association with IPV.

Gina has an ongoing interest in the use of quantitative research to investigate and document important public health issues.
