PhD Candidate in Disaster Management, University of Newcastle

Dr Giuseppe Forino holds a PhD in Economic Geography (Disaster Resilience) at Sapienza, University of Rome, and is undertaking a second PhD in Disaster Management at the University of Newcastle. His research interests cover disaster risk management (particularly disaster recovery and reconstruction), climate change (adaptation), risk governance, community resilience, disaster project management, and disaster management into higher education. My areas of interest are Italy and Australia, and Southeast Asia (Myanmar, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Thailand).
Giuseppe took part in international research projects funded by the European Union, the OLT Australia, and Save the Children.
