Emeritus Professor of Renewable Energy, The Open University

Godfrey Boyle was Emeritus Professor of Renewable Energy in the Department of Engineering and Innovation in the Open University's Faculty of Mathematics, Computing, and Technology. He was editor and co-author of the widely adopted textbook "Renewable Energy: Power for a Sustainable Future" (3rd Ed, Oxford, 2012). His main research interests were in renewable energy, particularly wind and solar power, energy systems modeling and energy policy. He was a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET) and of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA)

Godfrey died in July 2019, aged 74.
