Grace Melo, Ph.D. is an Accountability, Climate, Equity, and Scholarship (ACES) Faculty Fellow in the Department of Agricultural Economics. Her main research interest is explaining human behavior. She has published her research on labeling, food demand, immigration, and education in economics and policy journals. Her current research focuses on food choice, nutrition, and health using national survey data and economic experiments. Prior to coming to Texas, she was an assistant professor in Chile, where she conducted research on food policy and education. During her free time she enjoys dancing, running, and hiking.
