Graeme Gillespie

Honorary Research Fellow, The University of Melbourne

Dr Graeme Gillespie is an ecologist and conservation biologist by training who has developed and implemented wildlife research projects with a focus on threatened species, and broad-based biodiversity conservation programs in Australia and South East Asia. He has dedicated his professional career to wildlife management with a specific focus on threatened species conservation, via applied research, community engagement and influencing management and policy.

In leadership roles, Graeme has contributed to conservation strategic planning and policy in the government environmental sector, the Zoo industry, the non-government conservation sector, and the community at large.

Graeme is the Director of Terrestrial Ecosystems at the Northern Territory Government Department of Environment and Natural Resources and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
