Graham Galbraith

Vice Chancellor, University of Portsmouth

Graham is an engineer with a PhD from the University of Strathclyde. His primary research interests are within the area of Building Physics and Material Science with emphasis on moisture within building components and the development of appropriate prediction models and measurement techniques.

He is passionate about higher education and its power to transform people’s lives, irrespective of their backgrounds, and takes an entrepreneurial approach to management and to academia and research. He plays an active role in helping the UK’s higher education sector retain its world class standing.

Graham joined the University of Portsmouth in September 2013, having previously been Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Hertfordshire and Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) at Glasgow Caledonian University.
