Associate Professor, Sociology, York University, Canada

GUIDA C. MAN is an Associate Professor in the Sociology Department, York University. Her research intersects im/migration and transnationalism, families, gender and work, and racism and racialization in the context of neoliberalism and global economic restructuring. She has published extensively in the form of journal articles and book chapters. Her co-edited book, with Rina Cohen is entitled Engendering Transnational Voices: Studies in Family, Work and Identity (Waterloo: WLU Press, 2015). Currently, she focuses her investigation on a number of SSHRC funded research projects, including a study on COVID-19: Anti-Chinese/Asian racism in the GTA; projects on eldercare within Chinese immigrant families, as well as research on elder abuse.
