Gwinyayi A. Dzinesa

Senior research fellow, Institute for Pan African Thought and Conversation, University of Johannesburg

Gwinyayi A. Dzinesa is also a senior international relations & diplomacy lecturer at Africa University, Zimbabwe.

He holds a DPhil in international relations from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), South Africa, a MA in war and strategic studies and a BA Honours in history – both from the University of Zimbabwe. Gwinyayi has over 20 years of experience in teaching; training; academic and policy publications; policy research and development; consulting; convening and fundraising; dissemination; monitoring, evaluation and reporting in areas related to international relations; international and regional organisations; regional integration; African peace and security; conflict analysis; conflict prevention and management; democracy, elections and governance; disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration and security sector reforms; peacebuilding and statebuilding; infrastructures for peace/National Peace Architecture; youth, peace and security; and women, peace and security.
