Senior Research Fellow, The University of Melbourne

Hamish Clarke is interested in bushfire risk, fire management and climate change. In 2022 he was awarded a Westpac Research Fellowship to study the future of fire risk at the University of Melbourne. Hamish was a 2021 Young Tall Poppy and a member of the 2021 Eureka Prize winning NSW Bushfire Hub, based out of the University of Wollongong. He has been a visiting fellow at Western Sydney University and prior to that worked for the NSW Government. He is committed to public interest science and effective engagement with fire managers, policy makers and the community.
