Hannah Blumhardt

Senior Associate at the Institute of Governance and Policy Studies, Te Herenga Waka — Victoria University of Wellington

Currently working on zero waste and circular economy policy as part of the Āmiomio Aotearoa multi-partner research project hosted by the University of Waikato, as the Coordinator of the New Zealand Product Stewardship Council, the policy spokesperson for Takeaway Throwaways, and as an occasional contributor on Ministry for the Environment Technical Advisory Groups on key areas of waste policy.

Previously held policy and legal research roles in the New Zealand Parliament, the Law Commission and the Māori Land Court, and completed policy and advocacy internships and professional roles for NGOs, including ATD Fourth World and Oxfam New Zealand.

Honours degrees in Law and International Relations. Tutored various university courses in both History and Public Policy, and worked as a research assistant in the History and Law departments of Victoria University of Wellington.
